Donate food
Our foodbank relies on your goodwill and support
Over 90% of the food distributed by foodbanks in The Trussell Trust network is donated by the public – that’s why your food donations are absolutely vital to our ability to give everyone referred to us a balanced and nutritious three day supply of food.
Our shopping list on the right shows the food items that we need right now.
If you shop in Tesco Welshpool & Newtown, Sainsbury’s Welshpool, or Morrisons Welshpool we have collection points in store. Any other food bought in Aldi or any other store please bring directly to the foodbank we are open for donations 10 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday and 10 am to 1 pm Saturdays. Please contact us by telephone if you need to deliver outside of those hours and we will try to accommodate.
Tesco Collection Point – Important Information
Tesco generously tops up customer food donations, by making a financial contribution equivalent to 20% of the value of the food purchased from Tesco that is put in their permanent collection point.
Tesco and Asda collection points are intended for food that has been purchased by in-store shoppers only. Any food that has been purchased in a different store and brought into a Tesco or Asda store for collection should be sealed by the Donor and clearly labelled as having been purchased elsewhere.
The Collection Point in Tesco should only be used for products purchased by instore shoppers. Products do not have to be Tesco branded to qualify for top-up.
Out of Date food (Best Before & Use By)
Please, please, please do not donate out of date food in any location, we cannot use it, and it costs the foodbank money to get rid of it. (Sorry for shouting).

We always welcome donations and promise to use them to provide help to people in crisis. Occasionally we send food to other nearby foodbanks to support their work particularly if they experience shortages. This ensures your donations go to help people wherever in the UK they are.
